The standard UNMS in the free
version is the central monitoring tool for up to 9 UPS units, which
communicate in the network via the UPSMAN. In this version it is part
of every Windows installation. A permanent and central monitoring of
all UPS units in the network is possible via a single computer. Every
connected unit is shown via an individual icon, which will inform the
user of location, UPS type and UPS status. In the event of a power
failure or an alarm, a visual and acoustic signal is prompted. Via a
mouse click the UPSMON can be started and the user receives detailed
information about the corresponding unit. When using this tool, the
same functions as described in the UPSMAN/UPSMON are available. All
occurring events are also saved in a central log file. A print out of
all incoming events is available, if a printer is connected to the
monitoring computer.
