Teleservice-Module "Email Trap" in every CS121 and BACS!

Every CS121 and BACS Webmanager since firmware version 4.40.x or higher can be simple and cost-effective monitored via the new feature E-Mail Trap of the UNMS software!

Instead of a LAN/VPN connection a more simple email task handles the communication between UNMS and the customers monitored devices.

The  new UNMS II module “TELESERVICE” is reading the CS121 and BACS informations through a 2nd e-mail client which make these devices send out emails with all measuring data in regular intervals to the UNMS mailbox. These e-mails contain all device data, so that almost a „live“ connection to the devices is at present.  

The UNMS II receives parallel to Email traps also network messages of other devices and is therefore able to react on all kinds of alarms from various sources and to creates reports or statistics for the service company.

With the combination of the E-Mail Trap and the UNMS II TELESERVICE features, every OEM partner is able to offer a simple, secure and cost-effective remote monitoring system !

RASMAN_GSM Router for remote monitoring via UNMS II Software with TELESERVICE + DATACENTER option

If the GSM router RASMAN_G II is installed in a network, the user can monitor and control remotely up to 10 devices with the UNMS II via the VPN GSM connection. The connection will be supervised and logged constantly by the  GENEREX DATACENTER server. This DATACENTER server creates and monitors a VPN tunnel connection between the CS121 and BACS devices of the customer and the UNMS II monitoring station (UNMS II TELESERVICE + DATACENTER).  The monitoring service itself and the managing of counteractions is still operated by the service company who runs the UNMS. The DATACENTER is just securing the backbone of the communication channel between this UNMS and the end-users RASMANA_GII.

RASMAN_GSM-Client for SMS transmission

If the GSM router RASMAN_G_II is installed in a network, it works automatically as a SMS forwarder. You can forward messages as SMS from every CS121/BACS Webmanager directly through the RASMAN_G_II, parallel to the remote monitoring functionality. Up to 10 CS121/BACS Webmanager can be connected to the RASMAN_G_II.  The RASMAN_G_II is at the same time a SMS modem and a GSM router for a bi-directional remote monitoring.

For the CS121 and BACS a big step! Through the complete translation of all menus and the tool-tips, its much easier to configure and monitor such a device if all texts appear in the native language of the operator.  All functions and controls are now described through online tooltips, the English and German user manual is now required for experts only.

Firmware 4.4x – Announcement Firmware 5.0

3 years ago we have discontinued the support for CS121 models with just 2MB RAM. The last firmware with new features was FW 3.88, the following firmware versions provided only updates.

Because of the new multiple language and SNMP V3 features the firmware FW 4 will be discontinued receiving new features, only updates will be provided. So at the future firmwares we will distinguish between FW 4.4x for CS121 with 4MB RAM and the FW 5.x for CS121 with more than 16MB RAM.

All devices with at least 16MB RAM and 4MB ROM can be updated to version 5.x. Those CS121 which do not have sufficient RAM available have to stay at FW 4.4x. 

The firmware 4.44 will be the last one with new features, after this version only bugfixes will be provided.

„Legacy Firmware OEM ID 1“

We created the OEM version 1 to support UPS devices, which are no longer listed into the latest firmware versions. Many customers removed older UPS models from their list to “cleanup” the model list of their firmware and software. Those customers still running such older UPS will not be able to update their CS121 any longer if the model has been removed.  To avoid such problems we offer now the “legacy” firmware of OEM ID 1 – which contains such older machines and the chance is high that by using this OEM ID 1 even very old UPS can use the latest firmware.
 

CS121 series discontinued in 2013

The production of the CS121 adapters based on HW131 will be discontinued end of 2013 and replaced by the new CS141 and CS151 series. Spare parts for the CS121 HW 131 will be available until 2015.

RASMAN GSM Router

The RASMAN_G_II GSM router is a combined remote monitoring via mobile broad band and SMS modem. It works with the CS121, BACS, SITEMANAGER II and the UNMS II Software with TELESERVICE. This router was designed for every GSM and EDGE network worldwide and is supporting OpenVPN, Ipsec, GRE and L2TP as VPN tunnel. The RASMAN_G_II affords the secure access to the GENEREX manufactured devices (CS121, BACS, SITEMANAGER, SITEMONITOR, LED MATRIX, SS4) through a UNMS with TELESERVICE module. The router establishes a direct connection to the DATACENTER portal at GENEREX via the secure virtual network of the user (VPN). This portal delivers a steady connection between the end-devices and the monitoring station (UNMS II server with TELESERVICE at the service company).

It is designed for the assembly on a DIN hat-rail and works also with a prepaid SIM card or better with a  flat rate SIM card. The connection can be switched on or off via SMS messages at the prepaid SIM card usage to save transmission costs. If alarms occur the CS121/BACS can activate the connection automatically and can forward a SMS to the operator about the just established remote connection and the operator may start any web browser and connect to the device through the web – or through a UNMS.

The RASMAN_G_II  with the UNMS II TELESERVICE + DATACENTER is the follower of the analog RASMANAGER. Because of the abandoning of the analog services in most European countries, the analog RASMANAGER will not work in the near future anymore and requires a replacement. Our new RASMAN_G_II and the RASROUT_VG (DSL cable bound) are the following products and include all the functions of a RASMANAGER but now through GSM or Internet/VPN.  Please take a look into the chapter UNMS II Software for further information.

If you purchased the DATACENTER option for your RASMAN_G_II, you receive a USB stick with the configuration data for your UNMS SERVER  and the DATACENTER  which makes installation very simple. The software package for the USB stick contains the configuration data for the DATACENTER and the UNMS II Software of the monitoring company (site of the UNMS II installation) and allows the UNMS to “find” the new RASMAN_G_II as soon as its logged into the internet via GSM.

The router is available with EU- and US power supply. The RASMAN_G_II can be used with all GENEREX network products and requires a GSM or EDGE network coverage.

The Dual WAN Security Router RASROUT_VG provides the secure remote monitoring via broad band Ethernet (Internet) between the UNMS II, CS121, BACS and SITEMANAGER II via the GENEREX DATACENTER portal. The integrated firewall avoids external attacks and establishes up to 32 VPN tunnel via PPTP, Ipsec, L2TP or L2TP via Ipsec and connects to the GENEREX DATACENTER .

The RASROUT_VG can be used with all GENEREX network products.
