While in Europe GSM/GPRS is still an industrial standard, however outside the EU zone some countries have already switched to the 4G standard and consistently shut down the GSM/GPRS network.
Customers who need an independent uplink for emergency communications can use a 4G modem to send emergency information to the appropriate staff via SMS. In addition, the 4G modem is down-compliant to the GSM standard and can therefore be used worldwide.
